Singapore’s southern waterfront precinct abuzz with fun-filled activities this festive season
SINGAPORE, 18 NOVEMBER 2016 – There is nothing quite like celebrating the year-end festivities at Sentosa HarbourFront this year, with the entire precinct decked out in celebratory activities. Stakeholders of the Sentosa HarbourFront Business Association (SHBA) have once again banded together to launch a myriad of offerings across its attractions, hotels, as well as dining and entertainment establishments with fun-filled and exciting calendar of events lined up in the mega leisure and lifestyle destination at Singapore’s southern waterfront precinct.
From atop Faber Peak Singapore to VivoCity and HarbourFront Centre, and onward to Sentosa Island, highlights of this year’s festivities include an inaugural Holiday Market at Sentosa Cove, Christmas-themed role play activities at one of the precinct’s newest attractions – KidZania Singapore, the return of the popular Christmas Boat Light Parade by ONEo15 Marina Club, a milestone Christmas celebration for VivoCity’s 10th anniversary featuring a giant musical Christmas tree and a reindeer hunt, and so much more.
At Sentosa – The State of Fun, organisers have themed the festive celebrations after the latest hit movie from DreamWorks Animation – Trolls. Guests will get to soak in Trollific happiness with light displays, meet & greet sessions as well as a Trolls edition of the Merlion Magic Lights every evening. Christmas caroling also comes with different twists at Christmas Cheers taking place at the Merlion Plaza, with combination of different music styles. The resort island will also launch weekly deals during its 90 Days of Fun campaign with treats for the whole families, exclusively for Singaporeans and available at the Sentosa Online Store.
Over at Asia-Pacific’s Best Integrated Resort for the sixth year running – Resorts World Sentosa – Universal Studios Singapore is spreading the Christmas cheer with an all-new Santa’s village as well as The Universal Journey light display that now holds the Guinness World Record for the largest light bulb display in an indoor venue, with a staggering 824,961 light bulbs. At S.E.A. Aquarium, celebrate a Merry Fishmas as Scuba Santa and his elves make their return this season, as well as meet & greet sessions with Mai the Manta and Pikachu.
With the precinct being home to the most number of Michelin-starred establishments in Singapore, it promises to deliver culinary fireworks this Christmas with a slew of festive menus and Christmas brunches and dinners. Festive goodies also abound at Resorts World Sentosa, Quayside Isle, Port of Lost Wonder and at hotels in Sentosa HarbourFront.
